New Goodwill “Boutique” Opens in SLU

I enjoy a good dig through my neighborhood Goodwill but dependent on your shopping style, not everyone wants to sift, lift and hunt for goods. Enter Goodwill’s new South Lake Union store: There is no searching here, in fact, the swanky new space resembles more of a boutique than a warehouse. As it should: Located right next door to Soul Wine and Serious Pie on Westlake, the new Goodwill is roughly a quarter the size of a “normal” Goodwill at just 4,800 square feet.
But it’s more than just the size that contributes to the boutique feel: In the front, employees have sifted out designer finds by theme and color; luxe handbags hang from wall displays; and a large glass jewelry looms large with sparkly finds. The caliber of merchandise is high, on my visit I spied a pair of Tory Burch loafers, dresses still sporting original Nordstrom tags (always a score!) and European leather totes, but prices still hover at Goodwill rates.
The store officially opens at 10 a.m. today, I’d suggest heading in soon to check it out.
